Our family outside the silos in Maquette, KS

Permit me to introduce myself and my family. I was born in a small rural town in Kansas, where my upbringing amidst chickens, horses, and farms instilled in me a deep sense of belonging to this environment. As I near the age of 50, I have been striving to reconnect with my roots. I am a mother of three—two daughters and a son—and a grandmother to two grandsons, one granddaughter, with another grandchild expected soon.

For many years, I have aspired to establish a small, family-run farm, and with divine grace, this dream is now becoming a reality. Although the journey has been challenging, our faith in our endeavors has transformed the farm from a hobby into a more substantial venture. This is precisely the position we have aimed to achieve. I cherish and miss simpler times. Our inspiration with goats began with a beautiful gift from my son. Abigale was our first doe. Initially, I was considering smaller goats like Nigerians, but my son discovered a little Nubian. After extensive research and a more focused approach to goat farming, we determined this was the ideal breed for us, sparking ideas for our small business. Embracing simplicity leads to a more natural approach. We crafted our first soaps using our goat milk and loved how it left our skin clean yet moisturized. This prompted me to closely examine the ingredients in everything. Our skin's health is not only from the inside; it is also shaped by the things we apply to it. We are not only focusing on healthy skin but also on gut health. Goat milk is lower in lactose and more digestible than cow's milk. This has led us further down the path by creating our own chocolate bar. Who doesn't love a spa day without something sweet? This is just the beginning, and I am thrilled to share it with all of you.
